| • What are the different types of Home Loans avaliable for first time home owners? |
|
I know I asked a question on a similar topic not long ago, but I'm a bit stuck again.
I've tried doing a bit of research, but I'm terrible at it and can't seem to find exactly what I want.
The two main lending institutions I'm looking into are CBA (The Commonwealth Bank of Australia) and RAM (also an Australian Bank).
I really just want to know the names of the different types. A description would be nice as well, but its not neccessary, I can do further research with just the names.
Thank you in advance! You have no idea how much I need this.
I meant RAMS not RAM, sorry...typo.

| • How do I wire money from my Australian bank account into a US bank account? |
|
I've got an overdrawn bank account in the US as I was recentely working over there (I live in Australia) and now that I want to close the account I need to send them the money to make the balance $0 and to close the account.
They've given me a 9 digit "ABA" number and I'm not too sure how to go about sending them funds.
Could I do it through a company like Western Union or do I need to go to my Australian bank to get them to send money?
Hope that all made sense.

| • Credit card application with an Australian bank? |
|
I am considering applying for a credit card with an Australian bank which is *not* NAB/Commonwealth/ANZ/Westpac/St.George.
I am a current Australian resident over 18, and my main accounts are kept the same bank.
I am relatively sure that my income is sufficient to satisfy their income requirements, and my credit history is 100% clean.
Without considering other factors. How many months of proof-of-income do I need to supply to have a good chance of being accepted in my application for a credit card?
If I have shifted residences more than twice in the past year, will this affect my chances?
In Australia, is there such as a thing as a credit score kept by the big credit bureaus, as found in the US?

Hi
I am from the U.K but I need a police check from Australia to cover an extended period of time that I spent there. The police check is in regard to a job application that I have made over here.
The Australian Federal Police have told me that they can do the reference, but I need to pay via personal cheque from an Australian bank account. They dont do credit cards etc.
How on earth do I solve this?!

| • Australia income tax on online income? |
|
Hi there,
I am migrating to Australia soon as i recently got my Permanent Residency status there. I currently am in Nepal and work online for a US based firm and they send me monthly salary via wire transfer which is not taxed as there is no such system in Nepal.
Now, I want to continue this job, but my question is, when they wire me the money to my Australian bank account each month, will I be taxed? I have not yet applied for a tax file number and I will basically be a student in Australia, who will work online from home (but i am on a Permanent Residence status and not a student visa)
Thanks

| • TAX deduction : the fund transferred from my friend's American VISA card to my Australian bank account in OZ. |
|
I am a new migrant to Australia . I am going to enter OZ in the next month for the first time. Since having more than 10000 cash dollars is a bit risky , I intend to open up a bank account in OZ after I arrive OZ and then ask one of my freinds ( who resides in USA) to transfer my funds to my bank account in Australia through her American VISA card.
QUESTION : Will this internationally transferred fund be entitled to TAX deuction by the Government of Australia or not?
Thank you very much in advance.

| • Voting Question: Anyone had bad experience with NetStoreUSA or World Retail Store scams? |
|
There are a multitude of people on the web reporting being scammed by NetStore and also World Retail Store where they charge customer's credit cards, then the customer never receives anything and there is no way to contact them except e-mail which they ignore. The Better Business Bureau has also had multiple complaints and investigations. Most of their attempts to contact these "stores " go unreturned. Both of these stores are owned by Open Group and Open Media Party and Open Communications, with a man in Australia head of it. When you purchase, your money is sent to an Australian bank. One of the owners of the website, Michel Bowen who lives near Charlotte, NC is Senior VP of a bank and also linked to the Silicon Valley. THis same organization, Open Communications (aka Open Group) has contracts with the US government for internet security. They apparently developed lunux and unix and have changed their name and have multiple different names they go by.
Also, they have expanded into Russia, where now they own the newspapers, and are looking for buyers of copper and also wanting to sell oil. What does all this mean? They also sell internet security to hundreds of international corporations such as IBM, focus on the family, HP, etc, etc, It seems too powerful. They are spreading into China according to one website.
What really concerns me is that they are having store fronts where people are getting scammed on their credit card, yet this same open group is contracting with the US government for computer security and is also expanding worldwide and seems to own a larg portion of the real estate trading, copper and oil trade as well as the media and also the tourism industry in Russia, and they are expanding into China. With access to the US government computers and also everyone's credit card info (Michel Bowens senior bank VP and owner of recently opened Open House (more real estate dealings).
It seems as if this HUGE and continually expanding corporate business under a multitude of different names and scams could become the next world power.

Is there a way of setting it all up without a permanent address?!
