I remembered on the day that it was due, and went online to pay it. However, since it was after 3pm, it won't be processed until the following day, hence 1 day late. I know bank of america will charge me right away for a late payment,take away my 0% promotional APR, and raise my current regular APR through the roof. (they're good at that.)
If you work for Bank of America credit services and can provide correct detail on this i would appreciate it. ANyone else, feel free to answer

Twice they put special emphasis on the collect number. What do you think? Is this for real?

I got a new OMNI2 12 MP DIGITAL Camera and it will not work on my computer so I can't get the pictures off and I don't know of thier website. Someone told me that I needed to download the right drivers for it but I don't know because my Computer runs windows XP 2000. I am unable to even find thier phone number to call them. I bought this camers from a place on-line that is called Union Workers Credit Services. But when I call them they tell me to call the company or the makers of the camera. maczenzie hall are saying i took out a credit card and i have a outstanding debt. this is going back 4-5yrs. i contacted hbos at the time and said i didnt receive the card. but there bank manager was so rude and he was accusing me of lying that i just left it. i also took out loan with them i didnt pay. but it caught up with me. i was contcted by wescott credit services this year and payed a full and final settlement. now out of no were they want money for somethink i did receive. if anyone can help in anyway it will be much appreciated.many thanks

I sent in my payment last Tuesday morning..now, usually it only takes two days to get there (from Minneapolis to Illinois). It was due on Saturday. They posted the payment yesterday. I feel they kept it and posted it late on purpose to charge a late fee. How can they post on Sunday? The manager said they do get mail deliveries on Sundays...is this true? A rep. I talked to on Sunday said they don't. I still think they had it but posted it late on purpose. They said they don't have control over the mail. I'm just curious if anyone has had problems like this.
Yeah...I totally understand what you guys are saying...you are right. It's just frustrating. Next time, I am mailing it in at least 7 days before just to be sure. I usually do send it in earlier too and it gets there faster. I guess it's possible more people are sending it in closer to the due date so they have more mail to work with too.

I filled out an electronic application for a job with Macy's Credit Services. The next day I received a call but was busy and couldn't answer it. I called back the next day, Friday, and did a short interview over the phone. The manager told me they will call back within 2 to 3 business days to set up an interview, or send me an email if I don't fit the position. I thought I did good considering I didn't know I was going to get interviewed over the phone. Fortunately, I haven't received an email. It has been three business days, should I call back tomorrow to check my status, or wait a few days??

| • I have paid over $5K in debt - why is my credit score still low? |

I recently came into a windfall of money and I paid over $5000 in miscellaneous debt on my credit report - most of it was old collection notices. Why hasn't my score budged? I subscribed to True Credit service and have been checking it faithfully. Some of the things have been pulled off and some is still being investigated. I know it takes 30 days to research, but still. My score has only gone up 10 or 15 points at the most - I thought it would skyrocket. I only have a few bills left - almost everything was paid. Any ideas? Is there anything I can do to expedite this process? My score is in the mid to high 500's, and I need to bump it much higher. I also took out a secured loan to establish positive credit.
Does the score stay the same until the account is actually removed? Wouldn't it increase just by showing "paid" or "settled" rather than charge-off or something else?

I have some hospital bills from 2007. In the beginning of 2008 I spoke with a credit service rep. about the bills and she said that I needed to start making payments to the hospital. I called the hospital and asked that they consolidate all of my bills and I would make $40 monthly payments. I am a single mom and that's all I can afford. I thought that my payments were going toward the bills in 2007, until I got a summons in June of 2008. Its for Circuit court of Oregon and it states that I havn't paid anything to my dept. I called the collections services and they said that my monthly payments where being put towards my 2008 bills. What should I do now. Should I just let it go to court and let them start garnishing my wages, or should I fight and say that I have been giving you money. I have never been sued before and I have no idea what to do. I can't afford a lawyer.
I don't have a court date, it says that I have to file a motion. I don't know how to do this, or what to do next.

We are trying to sell a car that is financed through GMAC credit. We aren't buying another vehicle, so we can't trade it in on one, we need to see it private party. I saw a similar question asked, but this vehicle is not financed at a local bank. We bought it from the GMAC dealership and it is their credit services that we financed it thorugh. Our payoff amount is right at what the Kelly blue book value is, which is all we want. How do we go about selling this car when they have the title to it?

Were considering chapter 13 and were wondering if having all of our debts worked through one of those credit services that lower interest rates and payments would be a better/equal alternative. We bring home about 7,000 per month after taxes and have a mortgage of about 2200 per month. Were afraid that our disposable income will give us a large BK payment. If our BK payment is going to be a thousand or more than what is the use fiilng BK in the first place. Our credit card payments now are about $2,200 per month. I figure I can get them lowered through making deals to a thousand. Were very confused at this point. Any suggestions?

The 2,600 that you think we are mishandling goes to 2 car payments, insurance, utilities, food and clothing for our 3 kids, $4 per gallon gas to get around and you'd be surprised to find out there is very very little left over to have all sorts of fun that people who are hemmoraging money get to have.

I am currently 26 years old and have a yearly income of $70,000. I have no major investments, rent an apt and have minimal debt (small student loan, small car loan and no credit card debt). My employer offers a pretty good retirement program and it's composed of 3 parts:
1. Pension at retirement ( 1.5% of my final average monthly compensation X years of credited service)
2. Employer paid retirement saving account (my employer contributes 5% of my salary per period to a savings account
3. 403b (TSA) - employee contribution only, no company match
In addition to items 1 and 2 above, I want to open up a supplemental retirement savings account. Should I open up a 403b plan thru my employer, or look into a ROTH or TRADITIONAL IRA? I don't think I can do both, so advice on which to open would be great!

Hi,
In 2004 I had a Visa credit card I thought I had paid it and had moved house so received no more correspondance.
I attained my credit reports and found that I owed £120.00 on this card, which I immediately phoned up Natwest and settled.
I accept that this will be marked as a default and will remain there until 2010, however there is a 2nd default relating to the same £120 from a debt recovery company called Trident Credit Services.
My questions is:
Should the second default be there at all as it seems unfair 2 have 2 black marks for the same issue
